چکیده

Abstract Iron plays a significant role in the metabolism of cancer cells. In comparison with normal cells, neoplastic ones exhibit enhanced vulnerability to iron. Ferric ions target tumor via ferroptotic death pathway—a process involving iron-mediated lipid oxidation. ion occurs complex forms physiological conditions. Apart from iron, ligands are other factors affect biological activity iron complexes. recent decades chelates targeting growth was extensively examined. Use of Iron Chelates

U s e of chelating agents--especially the new compound Fe 1 3 8 t o correct iron chlorosis by effectively supplying iron to plants has proved promising in a series of experiments. All plant species tested-but not all individual plants-responded to treatment, and some of the individuals within species did respond with retreatment. Treatment responses in the field have lasted from two to six mont...

Ascorbate autoxidation in the presence of iron and copper chelates.

Chelates can inhibit the iron- and copper-catalyzed autoxidation of ascorbate at pH 7.0. Diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid (DTPA or DETAPAC) and Desferal (deferoximane mesylate) slow the iron-catalyzed oxidation of ascorbate as effectively as reducing the trace levels of contaminating iron in buffers with Chelex resin. DETAPAC, EDTA and HEDTA (N-(2-hydroxyethyl)-ethylenediaminetriacetic acid) ...

Synthesis and Characterization of Iron Oxide Nanoparticles by Thermal Decomposition Method of Iron (III) Chelates

Magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles have numerous applications in the biomedical field. This paper reports the preparation and properties of iron oxide nanoparticles synthesised by thermal decomposition method from iron chelates. The iron oxide nanoparticles were characterized by FTIR, powder XRD, VSM, SEM and TEM techniques. FTIR and powder XRD studies show that iron oxide was fo...

Photolysis of iron-siderophore chelates promotes bacterial-algal mutualism.

Marine microalgae support world fisheries production and influence climate through various mechanisms. They are also responsible for harmful blooms that adversely impact coastal ecosystems and economies. Optimal growth and survival of many bloom-forming microalgae, including climatically important dinoflagellates and coccolithophores, requires the close association of specific bacterial species...

Analysis of iron chelates in commercial iron fertilizers by gel chromatography
